NDA Exam Pattern – 137th NDA & 99th INA Course
The exam pattern for the UPSC NDA & NA I Exam consists of Written test and SSB Test/ Interview. The total marks alloted for the NDA 2016 Exam will vary for this written exam and personal interview. The marks for the UPSC NDA NA Exam is 1800 in that 900 marks are for the written exam, and 900 marks are for Interview. There are two papers present in the UPSC NDA Exam. They are Mathematics and General Ability Test.

Exam Pattern for Mathematics Paper:
- The Mathematics Paper for this UPSC NDA & NA Exam is of Objective type.
- Duration of the exam is 2 1/2 Hours.
- The Mathematics paper is for 300 marks.
- The questions may be asked from Algebra, Trigonometry, Matrices and Determinants, Vector Algebra, etc.
Exam Pattern for General Ability Test Paper:
Part – A: General English.
- The General English Paper for this UPSC NDA Exam is of Objective type.
- The English paper is for 200 marks.
- The questions may be asked from Grammar and usage, Vocabulary, Comprehension and cohesion.
Part – B: General Knowledge.
- The General Knowledge Paper for this UPSC NDA Exam is of Objective type.
